A great way to save money while shopping at any store is by taking advantage of its price match policy, and at Lowe’s, the retailer calls this the Price Promise. Basically, if you find an identical item at another retailer for cheaper, you can get the lower price while shopping at Lowe’s. However, you should know that this store doesn’t have a price adjustment policy, meaning that once you’ve purchased an item, you can’t then ask for the amount to be lowered to a competitor’s rate and the difference refunded. At the same time, you could get around this by returning the unused item within 90 days, then repurchasing with the price match.<\/p>\n

If you want to match a price at Lowe’s, you’ll need to be prepared to ask for it while checking out, either in store or online. Further, you’ll also need to be aware of the exclusions to its policy and the limited list of competitors Lowe’s will match.<\/p>\n

When shopping at Lowe’s, you’ll need to have either a printed ad from the competitor or a photo of it, which you’ll show the cashier and tell them that you want to price-match the item. They will then verify that the ad is correct and that the two items are identical.<\/p>\n

If you’d prefer to shop online, you can either call the Lowe’s customer service number, which is 877-465-6937, or chat with an associate in a text box on the website. When doing this, you’ll also need the ad from the competitor, which you’ll have to send or describe to the Lowe’s employee. The competitor’s item has to be able to ship to your location as well. Once they’ve verified the price match, they’ll be able to get you the lower cost before you check out. Further, they can also match the price of shipping from competitors, which could save you even more money.<\/p>\n

Further, you’ll also need to make sure the product is actually coming from the retailer and not a third-party seller on Amazon or another store like eBay or Etsy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There are also plenty of scenarios where Lowe’s won’t accept a price match, including if the competitor’s item is part of a promotion, bundle sale, seasonal sale, or special sale. If the item is discontinued, used, refurbished, opened, or on clearance, it’s not available to be matched by Lowe’s. Additionally, the store won’t match the price of a service like labor or installation, an item at another Lowe’s location, or a customized item.
